Racism – understood as discrimination against individuals or groups based on their ethnicity, heritage, skin colour or similar traits – persists as an important issue and challenge to societies in all European countries. These discriminatory practices remain active and are on the rise despite many attempts to reject and ban them both ideologically and politically, making it necessary to review contemporary approaches to the problem. This report illustrates that what current strategies lack is implementing how the facts contradict racism.
