UNU-GCM is pleased to welcome Dr. Stelios Stavridis, ARAID (Fundación Agencia Aragonesa para la Investigación y el Desarrollo) Senior Research Fellow based in the Research Unit on “Global Governance and the European Union” of the University of Zaragoza (Spain). Dr. Stavridis is an expert in International Relations; European foreign policy; Euro-Mediterranean relations; parliamentary diplomacy; and regional integration. Of particular interest to UNU-GCM is his expertise on the role of International Parliamentary Institutions/IPIs (including that of the European Parliament) in the process of Globalization, taken especially from the perspectives of democratic accountability and legitimacy.
