The Turn the World UN Blue campaign is part of the international celebration honouring the 70th Anniversary of the United Nations. More than 300 iconic landmarks in more than 80 countries around the world were illuminated in UN blue on UN Day, 24 October.

As part of the celebration that took place on 23 October at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site in Barcelona, the facade of the administration building was illuminated in UN blue with a projection of the UN logo. Four UN offices operate at the Sant Pau site: the United Nations University Institute on Globalization, Culture and Mobility (UNU-GCM), WHO Barcelona Office for Health Systems Strengthening (WHO/Europe), UN-HABITAT’s City Resilience Profiling Programme (UN-HABITAT/CRPP), and GWOPA Secretariat Global Water Operators Partnerships Alliance (UN-HABITAT/GWOPA).

Other sites in Barcelona, including the Generalitat and the City Hall, as well as Gaudi´s La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, also turned blue for the occasion.
