UNU-GCM presented a session entitled “Migrant Women in Catalonia: Achieving Gender Equality and Empowering All Women and Girls” as part of the conference “Connecting Actors for Sustainable Development in the Context of the United Nations 2030 Agenda,” which took place at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site in Barcelona on 10-11 November 2015.
The conference was a meeting to jointly explore the meanings and implications of the new global agenda for sustainable development, comprehend its relevance in the local and regional context, and promote connections and dialogue oriented towards action.
This event was organised with the participation of: Casa Àsia, the European Forest Institute (EFI), the City Resilience Profiling Programme (UN-Habitat/CRPP), Global University Network for Innovation (GUNI) – Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) , Institute for Global Health of Barcelona (ISGlobal), Regional Activity Center for Sustainable Production and Consumption (SCP/RAC), the UN-Habitat Global Water Operators’ Partnership Alliance (GWOPA), the United Nations University Institute for Globalisation, Culture and Mobility (UNU-GCM) and the World Health Organization Office for Health System Strengthening (WHO).
